LHS Winner of Healthy 50 Award
HealthSpace Cleveland recently named Lake Hospital System one of Northeast Ohio’s healthiest employers. As winner of the Healthy 50 award, Lake Hospital System is among the distinguished group of fifty area companies recognized for leadership in and dedication to employee health and wellness.
T he hospital system hosts an annual employee health fair and has progressive programs in place to encourage employees to exercise regularly, eat healthy, lose weight and quit smoking. Results have been positive, and participation in the programs continues to rise.
“We’re honored to receive this prestigious recognition from HealthSpace Cleveland,” said Cynthia Moore-Hardy, president and CEO of Lake Hospital System. “Our employees are our most valuable resource. And whether it’s a group challenge to lose weight or walk 10,000 steps a day, we are committed to helping our employees live healthy lifestyles.”
Beyond internal programs, employees also participate in Lake Hospital System’s community health initiatives such as Get Healthy Lake County. In February, the hospital system is launching B Fit 4 Life, a fitness challenge in which area businesses will vie for the title of most fit. Get Healthy Lake County and B Fit 4 Life were developed through a partnership with the Lake County YMCA, Lake MetroParks and the Lake County General Health District.
HealthSpace Cleveland recognized Lake Hospital System and the other Healthy 50 award recipients at a gala on January 19.
