Emergency Department — LakeEast Hospital

In 2004, the Emergency Department at LakeEast Hospital received a major face-lift designed to enhance patient comfort, privacy and convenience. The renovation project added 4,000 square feet and increases the number of assessment and treatment beds from 14 to 23.

  • A remodeled triage and registration area offers privacy to patients and family members as they check in and discuss symptoms.
  • Patient registration occurs at registration stations or at the bedside, depending on the patient's needs.
  • Nine state-of-the-art, private assessment and treatment rooms, one of them a trauma room, are equipped with the latest technology.
  • New decontamination room with outside entrance for patients or emergency personnel exposed to hazardous materials.
  • New main entrance and spacious waiting area.
