Women get two-thirds of all knee replacements, but most implants are designed for men. That's why the new gender-specific replacement knee is so exciting! Rather than retrofit a man's knee implant, we start with one precisely contoured to a woman's narrower anatomy. It moves and feels more like a natural knee. The implant is less likely to overhang the bone and painfully press on surrounding tissue. It also accommodates the unique angle between a woman's hip and knee.
