Lake Hospital System surgeons offer the latest technology. Among them is the laparoscopic procedure, which utilizes small incisions through which a video camera and tiny scopes are inserted. These minimally invasive procedures can lead to less pain and a quicker recovery.

Our surgeons also perform microsurgery, using a high-powered microscope that enables them to repair damaged tendons and nerves.

When performing brain and spinal surgeries, our physicians utilize the StealthStation, a state-of-the-art imaging-guided system to aid in the complex operation.

Laser technology is often used at Lake Hospital System to treat a variety of surgical procedures. One of the newest lasers is the KTP green light laser used to treat prostate enlargement. 

Lake Hospital System offers state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient surgical facilities, including four surgical suites at LakeEast Hospital in Painesville and eleven surgical suites at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby. Our physicians also perform outpatient surgery at the Mentor Surgery Center, located within the Mentor Medical Campus . The waiting areas at all three locations provide a comfortable setting for family members.
